"WE FOUNDATION" was launched on 12th January 2010. This organization is a sister organization of the Peace Foundation. Peace Foundation is a charity based organization that focuses on overall social development but with a focus on women. We Foundation was started after realizing the need for an organization to work only for women at a particular time. Its mission is to work by women for women and its board members are all women. 100 Women's Self Help Groups started functioning in the year 2010. Anti-Drug Campaign & Awareness Promotion

Anti-Drug Campaign & Awareness Promotion & Building #Drug Free Society Launched by Governor R.N.Ravi at Raj Bhavan, Chennai where Dr.R.Selvam ED, WE Foundation handed over a handbook to them. The main focus of the promotion was to make our society drug free, the affects & consequences were discussed in detail.

DONOR VISIT

August 30 2023 Donor Agency of OMI came to visit us from OMI, a small business lender to our organization. This information was informed to us on phone a week ago and accordingly we prepared the agenda on August 30, 2023 as follows 10 am to 1 pm meeting with staff and management in the office 2 pm to 5 pm Manakudi village field visit. From 10 am to 1 pm, we met the staff and management at the office of WE FOUNDATION, in which they said that they discussed the expansion of the project currently being implemented. At present, we are providing loans to at least 10 groups per month. In the future, they are ready to provide loans to at least 25 groups. They questioned us and we said that we will discuss it with the board After that, from 2 pm to 5 pm, they met the groups who have received small business loans and are doing business in Manakudi village under our project. They asked them whether this loan is useful for you and whether any other changes should be made. People said that they are currently getting 50000 as a loan and it should be increased to 1 lakh. They said that they will consider it. Finally, they met the people who have taken small business loans and are doing business at their places and inquired about the current profit they are getting from the loan they have invested in that business. They were happy to see that the money they gave was making a stable living in the lives of the poor and praised us and the staff.

GENDER AWARENESS PROGRAM

Gender awareness raising aims at increasing general sensitivity, understanding, and knowledge about gender (inequality). Our organization conducted a Gender awareness program for SHG members. The purpose of gender awareness-raising is threefold to provide basic facts, evidence, and arguments on various topics relating to gender equality to increase awareness and knowledge about gender (in)equality: • To foster communication and information exchange to improve mutual However, providing understanding and learning about gender (in)equality; • To mobilize communities and society as a whole to bring about the necessary changes in attitudes, behaviours, and beliefs about gender equality. • information and raising awareness about gender equality does not automatically lead to social change. Gender awareness-raising initiatives may be met with obstacles and resistance that need to be carefully considered and overcome.

CHILD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The Children's Wellness Club is taking place in 10 villages by selecting poor children studying in Tamil medium from first to eighth standard this club. The purpose of this is to help poor children living in 10 by 10 houses with a sick old man, a drunken father, a working mother, and a TV in the house where the child is unable to even do his homework. They are provided with education along with sports and general knowledge etc. in which the event is completely run using volunteers who are interested in service.

SEXUAL AWARENESS PROGRAM

WHO says two out of every three children in India are sexually abused And out of 69% children sexually abused 54.68% were boys. Our Origination decide to provides sexual education to school children and creates awareness among school children to do self-examination. We educate about Good Touch, Bad Touch, physical examination for school children, We are continuously creating awareness among school children’s which is very important for every child.We have qualified trainers. They will educate school children about sexual abuse and educate them about CHILD LINE.

Adult Education Program:

Adult Education 150 illiterate women are taught literacy and general knowledge vocational training at the rate of 30 persons per center in five villages. In the 10-month program, we expect them to come out literate,self-employed, and knowledgeable about sanitation and hygiene.
